How Does VMware vCloud Director Work?

Interested in exactly how vCloud Director works?

VMware vCloud Director, which is used by Multi-Tenant VMware Private Cloud, allows Liquid Web to simplify, reorganize, and group virtual machine hosts into multi-tenant virtual data centers. Each virtual data center is split into groups and managed with permissions.

That's where you, the customer, come in.

Your company is assigned its own organization/virtual data center where you can easily provision:

  • vApps (preconfigured virtual machines that combine operating systems with applications).
  • Virtual machines.
  • Virtual storage.

You can then set up virtual networks with routers, switches, and firewalls.
