Granting Server Access to Overseas Developers - Cybersecurity Tip from Liquid Web

Only give out access to your server to those that absolutely need it, especially with foreign developers. Also, make sure that permissions are set as low as possible for the work they need to be doing. Finally, keep backups of your server from before the work has been done to ensure the data cannot be hijacked or held for ransom.
